German broadcast equipment maker Lawo says it had a key role in the Pope’s September visit to Germany.
As a centerpiece of the regional SWR broadcast center and the overall ARD public radio network, Lawo consoles and supporting equipment provided production and routing functions for Germany’s public radio broadcasters (ARD).
Using Lawo crystal consoles and routers producers could interface with OB vans, provide produced segments along with creating live feeds for interviews and on-the-scene reports. Additionally, feeds were made available for recording into content management systems.
