A new webinar, sponsored by Crown Broadcast and WorldCast Systems, will explore the past and current practical applications of low-power FM radio. WorldCast makes Ecreso transmitters.
July 9 at 1 p.m. EST, speakers WorldCast’s Tony Peterle, Crown’s Kent Koselke and Don Pettifor will explain “LPFM for the Long Haul” to those who registered online here.
“We will discuss methods to increase reliability. The importance of support, maintenance and reliability, of course we will be talking in detail about the Crown FME line for LPFM from 300 watts up to 1kW and all of its value added features,” said Koselke. “We will also be discussing in detail real life LPFM placements and what has been seen in the past and what can be done in the future to ensure the best possible deployment for the LPFM broadcaster.”
He also noted that the presentation will cover “other crucial equipment needed and what to look for and what to stay away from in these products,” along with the actual total cost of LPFM ownership.
Finally, prior to the open Q&A session, Koselke says the speakers will discuss LPFM history, some engineering best practices and how the LPFM broadcaster can substantially increase their uptime and overall reliability.
