Progress Media is naming its new liberal talk radio network “Air America Radio.”
The goal is to provide a counterbalance to right-wing voices, said CEO Mark Walsh.
Air America Radio recently signed comedian and author Al Franken and radio host Robert Kennedy Jr. The network also has a distribution deal with Multicultural Radio’s WNTD(AM), Chicago.
Air America Radio hopes to announce additional distribution deals and acquisitions in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
