Livio, a hardware and software developer focusing on Internet audio mostly for the car, announced a compatibility agreement with Internet audio portal TuneIn.
TuneIn is joining Livio’s Connect software network, making it accessible via Livio’s car-oriented products and any other products utilizing Connect. Livio Connect is a middleware standard making it possible for products and services from different companies to work with each other.
Carl J. Rohling, vice president of business development, TuneIn, said TuneIn will continue to support platforms like Livio Connect, which “provide safe and seamless access to TuneIn for major OEMs.”
He made the announcement with Jake Sigal, founder and CEO of Livio Radio.
The announcement was made at the Telematics Detroit 2012 show, a show dedicated to creating the smart car.
