Local Sales Up

Radio sales for the year, through the end of February, are up 1% over last year’s pace, according to the RAB. In what the trade association calls a surprise, local revenue climbed 3% last month, while national business fell 4%.
The RAB called the recent better performance of local sales “surprising” because it is national business that “traditionally signals the healthy return of advertising.”
RAB said it expects both local and national business to be up in Q2.
