AAA Entertainment has filed applications to move antennas for two of its Long Island stations, hoping to reach a larger population. The stations are WBEA at 101.7 MHz and WEHM at 92.9. WEHM wants to move its antenna about 16 miles to the southwest; WBEA would move about 17 miles to the southwest.
“These moves will significantly improve the two stations’ signal coverage in Suffolk County, which has a population of 1,432,000 and is the fastest growing county in New York State,” it said in a release.
John Maguire is president/CEO. He said Suffolk County taken alone would rank as a top 100 market.
“AAA’s new signal coverage, combined with the redefinition of the Hamptons/Riverhead Arbitron market, will greatly enhance this region’s development.”
