A well-known face in many radio circles, Lori Lewis, has joined Cumulus Media as vice president of social media. It is a new position for the company.
The former Jacobs Media consultant and radio personality will be tasked with working with “Cumulus’ programming and sales teams to develop integrated social media strategies for the company’s radio stations and network, Westwood One. She will also provide social media solutions to Westwood One’s affiliate partners as part of the company’s Enterprise Solutions Group.”
Lewis will report to Cumulus President and CEO Lew Dickey.
At Jacobs Media, Lewis oversaw digital and social strategy consulting for radio stations and network clients.
Cumulus Senior Vice President Gary Pizzati said, “Without question, Lori is the most qualified person to develop the social media strategy for Cumulus. This newly expanding revenue stream requires the leadership necessary to drive engagement and sales.”
Lewis said her new job was to “create real value and impact socially for our audiences, advertisers and affiliate partners. Many mistake social for volume, when in fact it’s about differentiating.
