Louisville Public Media in Kentucky has deemed its spring fundraising campaign a success, with over $400,000 raised.
Though it set a lower goal than usual, the group was aiming to strengthen its sustainers — those that committed open-ended, multiple donations rather than one-timers.
President and General Manager of Louisville Public Media Donovan Reynolds said, “The large number of new members, and the huge growth in our sustainer program — those making an open-ended commitment to support us — will strengthen the financial stability of public radio for years to come.”
According to a release priority projects are an investigative reporting center, the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting, and more reporting on community health.
Louisville Public Media includes WFPK(FM), WFPL(FM) and WUOL(FM).
