Lynx Studio Technology says its AES16e and AES16e-SRC PCI Express digital audio interfaces are now available for Mac Pro and Windows users.
The AES16e PCI Express card provides 16 channels of 24 bit AES/EBU digital audio at a 192 kHz sample rate in both single-wire and dual-wire AES modes. The company says it is designed to integrate digital consoles, multichannel A/D and D/A converters, hard-disk recorders, digital audio workstations and other digital audio equipment; it is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
The AES16e-SRC provides 16 channels of sample rate conversion.
A third model coming later this year, AES16e-50, will add up to 48 digital I/O channels using AES50 technology, carrying the digital signal on standard Cat-5 or Cat-6 cable.
