Internet audio streamer Spotify thinks it has a trick that will allow it to distinguish itself — lyrics for the songs playing.
That’s the highlight of an update package for the app that will take hold over the next few weeks, according to the company.
For the lyrics, a new “Lyrics” will appear on the GUI. According to a release, lyrics can be searched and browsed. This feature is courtesy of the Musixmatch lyrics catalog.
Less glamorous, the Friend Feed should supply more information about what your friends are listening to and there’ll be new listening charts available such as a “daily viral” chart to catch the latest trending items.
