Middle Atlantic Products is marketing a line of riser bases that it says aid cabling system design in digital broadcast centers.
The bases may be used as standalones or in conjunction with raised floor riser feet and support angles.
The bases allow installers to build a raised floor and organize cable around existing or new racks. Middle Atlantic says its bases shorten cable runs between ganged enclosures.
SRB series bases are seismic-certified, and compliant with standard raised floors and feature angles to support tiles.
RIB series riser bases are intended to elevate equipment racks 2-1/2 inches to provide a lower cable chase between rack enclosure systems in multi-bay applications. The company says the bases also are practical for performing field “rough-ins” before rack enclosure systems arrive on site.
New to all Middle Atlantic riser bases are cable pass-through laser knockouts for use when joining multiple riser bases. The company says they also simplify the task of expanding existing racks with add-on bays.
