The Empire State Building, home to transmission facilities for New York FM and TV stations, this month named Joseph J. Maguire as its broadcast manager.
Maguire is former chief of Clear Channel’s WLTW(FM). He will direct business, management, operations and tenant relation functions of Empire’s broadcasting and external telecommunications business.
He reports to Building General Manager James T. Connors on business matters, and to Director of Operations Hani J. Salama for operations and tenant relations areas. Connors called Maguire “a terrific team builder and leader.”
Maguire also is a former senior engineer at WKTU(FM) and operations manager of WGHT(AM). He also has worked at Northeastern Communications Concepts, Unistar/United Stations Radio Networks, RKO Radio Networks and WOR(AM).
