Marketron Cites Gains for Mediascape

Business-side software for broadcast adds features

Watch for Marketron to take a higher profile in the radio biz.

Having recently named Jeff Haley, former head of the Radio Advertising Bureau, as its president and CEO, Marketron further now has partnership alliances with companies including Arbitron, Chase Paymentech, Dial Global, Emmis Interactive, Harris, Katz, Premier Networks and Triton Digital.

The developer of business software also announced that its Mediascape platform, a year after launching, is being used by some 300 media groups, and that 1,200 stations used its mobile platform. Mediascape combines sales programs with a traffic and billing component.

Also announced was the addition of seven components to its product including a Master Data Management module, Mobile module along with items such as a Web payment processor and Proof of Performance feature.

The company is owned by the Wicks Group, also owner of NewBay Media, publisher of Radio World.
