Marketron Says Its Mobile Push Is Going Well

Station count is near 2,000

Radio World reported early this year on Marketron’s plans for its mobile initiative, Marketron Mobile.

Now the company says 1,200 new radio stations have licensed to use that platform in the past year, for a total of close to 2,000.

“Launched in October 2010, Marketron Mobile now runs more than 18,000 campaigns per month and boasts clients such as Beasley Broadcast Group, Cumulus Media, ESPN, Harley Davidson, Heineken, Lincoln Financial Media, Mapleton Communications, Maverick Media, Microsoft and Radio One,” it stated.

Marketron is an affiliate of The Wicks Group of Companies, which also owns NewBay Media, publisher of Radio World.
