Marti to Move Manufacturing

Marti to Move Manufacturing

After many years of making its products in Texas, Marti Electronics will move assembly operations to Quincy, Ill.
Customer support, sales and service departments will remain in Texas.
The transfer will be completed during the first quarter of the year. Up to 15 employees will lose their jobs in Texas. Other positions may be created in Illinois, according to John Pedlow, president and CEO of Broadcast Electronics, Marti’s parent company, which is based in Quincy.
The move is to improve manufacturing logistics and efficiencies.
“Marti is not going away,” said Pedlow, “in fact, they have recently introduced a new line of ‘Plug N Play’ FM transmitters and have future introductions in the works.”
