A cancer center in Texas will receive $20 million from Lowry and Peggy Mays, according to the Houston Business Journal.
The funds will go toward the development of a research park at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
“The donation comes just five months after Red and Charline McCombs donated $30 million to M.D. Anderson in the largest gift ever made to support cancer research at the institution,” the publication reported. Mays and McCombs co-founded what is now Clear Channel in 1972.
