Trans World Radio named Dr. Emmanuel D. Mbennah as its international director for Africa.
The native of Tanzania succeeds the Rev. Stephen Boakye-Yiadom, who died in 2007.
TWR President/CEO Lauren Libby made the announcement, saying Mbennah “brings a tremendous blend of spiritual leadership and maturity as well as the strategic ability to develop mission.”
Mbennah has a postgraduate degree in biblical studies and a Ph.D. in communications from Potchefstroom University in South Africa. He earned a Master’s in Communications from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., and a B.A. in communication arts from Messiah College in Grantham, Pa.
TWR produces programs in 225 languages.
