The Baltimore Business Journal reported that Your Public Radio Corp., which owns and operates WYPR(FM), Baltimore and WYPF(FM), Frederick, Md., plans to buy WRXS(FM), Ocean City, Md. for just over $1 million.
The Maryland nonprofit plans to change the format from rock to public radio news and talk in September, according to the account.
The WRXS signal covers Maryland cities Ocean City, Bethany Beach and Salisbury as well as Rehoboth Beach, Del.
YPR previously announced plans to expand its audience by increasing the signal of WYPR in Baltimore.
