Media Bureau Dismisses Unamended Form 301, 214, 315 AM and FM Applications

Media Bureau Dismisses Unamended Form 301, 214, 315 AM and FM Applications

On Oct. 8, the Media Bureau said the Office of Management and Budget had approved revised FCC Forms 301, 314, and 315 to coincide with the new media ownership rules. The FCC had sent a Nov. 8 deadline for filing amendments to pending commercial radio station applications filed on the old versions of these forms. These applicants had to demonstrate compliance with the new local radio ownership rules or to request a waiver of these rules.
The FCC is dismissing applications it did not receive amendments for.
Also, pending before the bureau are a number of commercial radio station applications filed prior to the effective date of the June 2002 versions of Forms 301, 314, and 315. These applications also must be amended to demonstrate compliance with the new local radio ownership rules or to request a waiver of these rules. Amendments and waiver requests must be submitted within 30 days.
Amendments must be submitted electronically. Current versions of these forms are available and may be accessed through the Bureau’s Consolidated Database System. This system enables the public to complete and file these amendments via the Internet from the Media Bureau’s web site, http://www.fcc.gov/mb/elecfile.html.
