Media Monitors said it now has 13,000 subscribers, “making it one of the world’s largest Web-based advertising monitoring systems.”
Media Monitors is a subsidiary of RCS, which makes broadcast and webcast software. It covers radio, local cable, newspaper and broadcast TV, and delivers data to media ad agencies, radio and TV stations and cable companies in North America.
It began monitoring commercials on radio five years ago, as RW reported here at the time, followed by newspaper, cable and TV stations. It also provides local media monitoring services in Australia, India, South Africa, United Kingdom and Malaysia, and says more countries are planned.
