MediaSpan said its Online Services unit is working with Eonstreams to provide streaming services for an online network of 1,500 local radio properties.
“The companies also plan to generate additional revenue for their local station partners by jointly selling national audio streaming ads across their combined network of nearly 2,000 local media partners,” they stated.
Eonstreams’ ad insertion technology, called FastAim, is marketed by MediaSpan as the AdSMART System. The companies say it allows advertisers to target online audio, video and rich media ads by demographic, geographic, psychographic and format-specific profiles.
MediaSpan said its radio properties including stations owned by Entercom, Radio One, Citadel and ABC Radio, Eonstreams works with several groups and about 400 stations. “Together the two companies will work with stations that reach over 75% of U.S. households,” they stated.
