Hank Landsberg’s latest is a comprehensive audio system that turns a PC equipped with a sound card into a self-contained studio.
The StudioDrive adds console functions – source selection, mixing and monitoring – to a sound card. It has inputs for five sources (one mic, four stereo line), mix-minus output and a monitor system with air input and auto mic-on muting. What next, a phone coupler? (Whups, it’s got that, too.)
It’s intended for live broadcasts or PC-based audio production. Hank says it is ideal for radio automation or a newsroom, edit suite, voiceover studio, emergency studio or LPFM. Price: $595.
