Music library developer and retailer Megatrax is donating 1% of all needle drop fees during the month of February to the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation.
A release explains: “Megatrax believes that the Foundation, which ‘donates both new and refurbished instruments to school music programs that lack the resources to keep up with equipment loss due to attrition, depreciation and wear over time, and to accommodate students on waiting lists or who have to share instruments,’ represents the future of the music industry.”
Senior Vice President of Sales Phil Macko said, “The future of our industry is today in school learning the art and craft of music. By supporting Mr. Holland’s Opus we are investing in the future of music.”
Last year a similar Megatrax campaign aided the Red Cross.
