The dinner is Sept. 20 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. The event is sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Etheridge is expected to perform classic hits as well as songs from her new album, “4th Street Feeling.” Her career spans decades starting with her self-titled first album in 1988.
Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio. Winners will be announced at the dinner, hosted by CBS Radio Dallas station KMVK(FM)’s Edgar “Shoboy” Sotelo. Sotelo himself won a Marconi last year as top Spanish Format Personality.
