The wrassling over a satellite merger, and possible terms for one, continues.
Thursday, the groups Public Knowledge and Media Access Project asked for stronger terms. They said two key conditions suggested by XM and Sirius “fall short of what is necessary to ensure that the merger is in the public interest.” Their letter is here.
Meanwhile this week the NAB called journalists’ attention to a filing submitted to the FCC after a conference call meeting between Commissioner Copps and the attorneys general offices for 14 states.
