Digging a little deeper into Nielsen’s recent “State of the Media: Audio Today” Radio World covered earlier this week, Nielsen reveals the most popular formats of radio broadcasts among Hispanic listeners of all age groups. Far and away the leader is Mexican Regional at a total of 16.3% for all Hispanic listeners 12 or older; the next closest is Pop Contemporary Hit Radio at 9.3%.

Mexican Regional broadcasts are the most popular among the 18–34, 18–49, 25–54, and 35–64 age groups. Only the 12–17 age group and English Dominant Hispanics 12+ didn’t have Mexican Regional as its most popular format.
