Mezzo-Soprano Jennifer Larmore Joins Sirius

Sirius Satellite Radio and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore have joined forces to bring the performer’s musical industry expertise and select performances and commentary to Sirius listeners. Expanding the range of insider knowledge about the worlds of classical music and opera, Larmore will now be heard across a variety of the company’s commercial free music channels, including Classical Voices (channel 85).
The numerous roles that Ms. Larmore has sung at the Metropolitan Opera include the title role in Handel’s Giulio Cesare, Isabella in Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, Angelina in La Cenerentola, and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. She has also starred as Hansel in the company’s production of Hansel and Gretel under the direction of Sir Charles Mackerras at the Metropolitan Opera.
As a member of the Sirius Sounding Board, Larmore will provide exclusive content to Sirius listeners with a series of features. As part of the board, these artists collaborate with Sirius on special content, sharing their experiences, perspectives and insights. They are also regular hosts on Sirius channels. Some board members are: George Clinton, Randy Travis, Al Jarreau, Dana Dane and BeBe Winans.
