Midwest Communications Buys Radio Fargo-Moorhead’s Assets

Calvary Bible College sells station to Northwestern College

Midwest Communications has acquired Radio Fargo-Moorhead’s assets, which comprise KFGO(AM), KVOX(AM), KBVB(FM), KMJO(FM), KRWK(FM), and WDAY(FM), for $25 million. The stations are located in the Fargo, N.D. area.

Jim Ingstad leads Radio Fargo-Moorhead, and Jerry Johnson of Media Services Group’s Minneapolis office represented Radio Fargo-Moorhead for this deal.

Duke Wright’s Midwest Communications owns 47 radio stations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.

Calvary Bible College also recently sold KLJC(FM), a 100,000 watt station in the Kansas City, Mo., market to Northwestern College.

The station, which is broadcast on 88.5 MHz, was purchased for $6.25 million cash at closing. The deal was brokered by Grey Guy and Jason James of Patrick Communications.

Northwestern College has a well-developed radio broadcast education curriculum.
