Mike Erickson Joins Wheatstone

He’s the new Vorsis field engineer

Mike Erickson joins Wheatstone as Vorsis field engineer.

He is former chief engineer of WCBS(FM) in New York. Erickson began his broadcasting career in 1991 at an AM station on Long Island, where Wheatstone says “he soon developed a love for manipulating audio with processors.” He moved to WFAN(AM) in 1996 as a staff engineer, then worked at CBS for about 15 years.

“He had a hand in the planning and execution of the recent entire CBS New York Radio facility relocation, and has been directly involved in shaping the sound of all CBS properties in New York as well as CBS stations in other markets,” Wheatstone stated in the announcement.

It describes him as a processing enthusiast who has racks of processors even at home. “He has served as a beta tester for many of the audio processing products that are popular today, including those from Vorsis, and has generously contributed his real-world experience to their development.”

The announcement was made by Vorsis Senior Product Engineer Jeff Keith.
