Minneapolis Rocks for 2015 CBI Convention

Next conference will be held October 2016 in Philly

College Broadcasters Inc. hosted its annual National Student Electronic Media Convention at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Oct. 22–24.

The event had more than 300 attendees in its fourth edition and offered sessions such as a preconvention workshop for new and emerging advisers, technical and legal training to promotions and marketing to student leadership training and more.

Presenters included WINS(AM) reporter/anchor Glenn Schuck, sportscasters Paul Allen and Corey Provus and other professionals from local and national broadcast stations.

The NSEMC also featured social and networking opportunities, tours of local media facilities, the presentation of the National Student Production Awards and a keynote address from content strategist Clinton Forry. In addition, the convention offered a trade show with 17 exhibitors and a live video cybercast highlighting student talent.

The next edition of the NSEMC will be held Oct. 20–22, 2016, in Philadelphia
