Mouser to Distribute Syfer Products in U.S.

U.K. capacitor manufacturer Syfer Technology Limited has named Mouser Electronics as its sole U.S. catalog distributor. Syfer manufactures application-specific ceramic multilayer capacitors and EMI suppression filters. The company has chosen Mouser Electronics to distribute Syfer products, including high voltage ceramic chip capacitors up to 6kV; application-specific products including UL approved safety and surge protection; High Q/High frequency; and low inductance chips.
Mouser will also sell the Syfer’s EMI filters, including surface mount Pi and C filters up to 20A dc, X2Y products and 3 terminal EMI chips for pcb applications, as well as threaded and solder-in panel-mounted styles.
Included in Syfer’s capacitor offering is the FlexiCap polymer termination product. Developed as a solution to MLCC stress damage caused by variations in production processes, FlexiCap is made from a proprietary flexible epoxy polymer termination material applied to the device under the nickel barrier finish. This gives the product the ability to withstand more board bending than conventional capacitors, claims Syfer.
Mouser President Glenn Smith says, “We have no minimum order size and are very willing to break packs to fulfill the smaller orders for customers in the prototype stage of their design process.”
