multiCAM Systems Sees U.S. Opportunity With Visual Radio

European company opens an office in Detroit

multiCAM Systems has opened a U.S. office in Detroit, and Paul Stewart joins the company as director of business development. He reports to CEO Stan Walbert.

Stewart most recently spent three years at ENCO Systems as a broadcast automation specialist. He also has a decade of experience in live sound and video systems in commercial buildings and school districts, and understands how automation reduces the technical burden and operational expense in pro AV.

Walbert emphasized Stewart’s automation and systems integration experience, as well as his customer service approach as reasons for his hire.

Walbert cited Stewart’s experience with automated workflows and systems integration, and said the company’s clientele is expanding “rapidly” in the Americas.

Stewart’s first public event with multiCAM Systems will be InfoComm 2017, which is also slated to be the company’s Pro AV event debut at the Americas.

multiCAM Systems’ U.S. market share has grown with increasing interest in visual radio, according to the announcement.

“Visual Radio is more than simply offering another channel for the audience; it’s also a way to monetize streaming platforms using less obtrusive means than working with pre-rolls and mid-rolls,” Stewart said in the announcement. “multiCAM Systems gives broadcasters a viable option to invest in a system that is more reliable and less cumbersome than homegrown systems with USB webcams and GPI- or manual-based switching. Along with streamlining production workflows, the placement of banners, vertical ads and other dynamic content can quickly deliver an ROI without diluting the consumer experience.”
