Muni, Roselle to Join NYHOF

New York State Broadcasters to induct Class of 2010 Monday

The New York State Broadcasters Association will induct its Hall of Fame class of 2010 at its 48th Executive Conference on June 28 at the Sagamore Resort Hotel in Bolton Landing, N.Y.

Leading the radio side of the class will be the late Scott Muni, famed album-oriented rock DJ. The easily recognized, deep-voiced tune spinner was Scottso or The Professor to fans and musicians. He passed away in 2004.

Joining Muni will be Jim Roselle of WJTN(AM) in Jamestown, N.Y. Roselle is known as a morning show host/master interviewer.

On the TV side WRGB’s late Dan DiNicola was known as well as an experienced interviewer while long-time WHAM newsman Don Alhart also gets a nod. Alhart has been with the same station since 1965.

Also joining the class is Percy Sutton. Sutton was an owner of Inner City Broadcasting and the leader of the renovation of The Apollo theatre in Harlem in the early 1980s.
