A clip from George Clooney’s new film about Edward R. Murrow and an appearance by the actor who plays the newsman will be part of the upcoming RTNDA/UNITY Awards in New York.
The event is Oct. 17 at the Grand Hyatt. The Radio-Television News Directors Association also will salute the late Peter Jennings and honor winners of its Murrow Awards.
CBS News President Andrew Heyward will accept the network’s award for Overall Excellence. RTNDA will show a clip of “Good Night, and Good Luck,” and said actor David Strathairn, who plays Murrow, will speak briefly.
