Music Delivery System Claims Radio Growth

Music Delivery System Claims Radio Growth

Promo Only MPE said it now has 3,000 radio programmers and music directors using its system and is adding about 40 a day. Project Director Dean Ernst said, “Radio is seeing that our system is the standard to which the industry is moving.”
The Orlando-based firm provides digital delivery for the music industry. It touts itself as the only digital distribution system in the country under contract with a major label group, saying it has delivered 800 tracks for Universal Music Group and 1,500 tracks overall.
The system locks down distributed, uncompressed WAV tracks and allows labels to authorize their content to a unique user. Songs are encrypted so that only those with the right software can access them.
The company also said RCA Music Group approached it to ask that a new single from Fantasia be distributed exclusively by its system.
