MusicNet, a provider of licensed digital music content for digital distribution services, has changed its name to MediaNet Digital.

The company says it is not abandoning its musical roots or partnerships with brands like Yahoo! Music and MTV, but expanding its digital platform, which now includes music videos, television programming, film and audio books.

Recent products include Performer Digital, a white-label downloadable media player and Web-based client that surfaces MediaNet’s underlying platform, including music downloads, subscriptions and video; and a new platform for delivery of episodic television and films.
