Barix supports audio streaming and delivery for Muzika InStore, a service which uses the Barix Exstreamer 100 IP audio device to receive and decode programming at businesses.
InStore includes MIT AddSite, which enables customers to create in-store audio programs to enhance the retail experience. It also features MIT FTPstats for network monitoring and troubleshooting.
MIT AddSite is designed for adding, scheduling and deleting music, announcements and local advertisements through an admin section. It also retains customer information for ongoing management, including hours of operation, as well as databases, playlists and musical preferences. Users can generate reports to show proof of play.
The system refreshes itself daily, creates a playlist for the next week and then disconnects from the Internet to save network resources.
InStore preloads Exstreamers with Barix FTPMP3 firmware, in addition to preloading USB sticks, which are attached direct to the Exstreamer 100 to provide secondary, local audio source. Installed devices also automatically connect to InStore’s network.
