MY FM 94.3 Takes Delivery of AEQ Forum

New Delhi station places Forum digital console at heart of new radio studio

D.B. Media Corp. Ltd.’s youth-oriented station 94.3 MY FM, which broadcasts to 17 cities in seven Indian states, recently modernized its central facilities in New Delhi.

Based around an AEQ Forum compact digital audio mixer with a 12-fader control surface, the upgrade consisted of transitioning an entire radio studio to digital.

The AEQ Forum, designed for on air control, incorporates features such as automatic monitor mute, remote mute, fader start, signaling, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications using built-in digital telephone hybrid modules, and intercom.

The modular mixer, available with a control surface ranging from 4 faders up to 20 independent audio channels in the Grand Forum version, is suitable for various applications including sound and TV production, use in control studios, and in the integration of larger systems, says AEQ.

MY FM Technical Manager Sanjay Pratap coordinated the entire project. Pratap, who traveled to AEQ headquarters in Madrid to attend training sessions, worked in collaboration with the engineering team of Falcon Technologies (AEQ’s local partner in India) and the AEQ-Madrid technical support service to install, configure and launch the completely digital radio studio.
