More than 550 people came out to support the 2016 NAB Show’s 4K 4Charity Fun Run on April 19, helping to raise more than $35,500 in donations for global and local charities. This year’s run also saw an increase in the number of participating companies and individual contributions compared to 2015, according to Elemental Technologies, one of the main sponsors.

Elemental, Dolby, Aspera, EVS and Verimatrix were the top five companies in terms of registrations and donations. The funds were raised for Mercy Corps, a global relief organization that helps people build secure, productive and just communities, and The Shade Tree, a Las Vegas-based charity that provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children.

IBC 2016 will also hold a 4K 4Charity Fun Run. Sponsorship opportunities are now open with a deadline for commitments on July 15. For more information, check out the website 4k4charity.com.
