The National Association of Broadcasters announced it is accepting nominations for the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards, starting today.
The awards “recognize overall excellence in radio broadcasting.”
Nominations are due by May 31. Finalists will be announced in July and the winners awarded during the 2012 Radio Show’s NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show, to be held Sept. 20.
Station general managers can submit nominations online in the categories of Station of the Year by Market Size, Station of the Year by Format, Personality of the Year by Market Size, Spanish Format Personality of the Year, Legendary Station and Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year.
The NAB has published new guidelines for Marconi Award nominations in an effort to “build stronger entries.”
The 2012 Radio Show will take place Sept. 19–21 in Dallas.
