U.S. radio stations excelling in community service are being honored by the National Association of Broadcasters. On Tuesday, the NAB released its list of finalists for the 2025 NAB Crystal Radio Awards.
Presented every year since 1987, the Crystal Radio Awards recognize NAB member stations for their commitment to serving their communities. A panel of judges select 50 finalists and, from there, narrow down 10 winners.
This year, the awards will be presented during a special ceremony at the NAB State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., on March 4. Previous award ceremonies took place during the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas.

During the ceremony, NAB will also present Hubbard Broadcasting’s WJJY(FM) in Brainerd, Minn., with the Crystal Heritage Award. NAB says this award recognizes radio stations that have won a total of five Crystal Radio Awards for “exceptional year-round community service efforts.”
