NAB Online Leadership Academy has announced its summer schedule of webinars. The nine-part series begins June 11 and “will cover successful management principles, advocacy insights and legal updates on political advertising and regulations surrounding streaming.”
The June 11 is “5 Keys to Successful Leadership.” The presenter is Steve Newberry, president and CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting in Kentucky, a 22-radio station group. According to the NAB, Newberry is “past joint board chair of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). He is president and CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation, a 22 station radio broadcast group with facilities throughout Kentucky. He began his broadcast career at the age of 14 and owned his first radio station at 21.”
Newberry will be discussing his leadership philosophy in this presentation, which was taken directly from the NAB Show session “40 Secrets to Successful Radio Management,” according to the NAB.
The webinars are free and for members only. They are 20–60 minutes in length. The next one is June 19, “5 Keys to Managing Your Time Effectively.”
