The National Association of Broadcasters says total attendance at the 2015 edition of NAB Show has been tallied at 103,042, according to a Tuesday press release.
That number is up 5,127 — from 97,915 last year. This confirms the generally more optimistic — and busy — vibe on the floor this year.
The organization says that international and news media attendance figures are included in the overall registration number. International attendees represented about a quarter of the total at 26,489; this number is holding steady from 2014’s 26,367. News media attendance represented only about 1% or 1,614 people.
Additionally, all numbers are based on preshow and onsite registration and are subject to an ongoing audit.
Also, the exhibition featured 1,789 companies spanning 1,015,000 net square feet of exhibit space.
“This year’s NAB Show demonstrates again the power and reach of the global NAB Show brand," said NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton.
