NAB expects to say more soon about the FCC’s new ownership media rules. The association’s radio and TV boards are meeting this week in Washington.
Radio ownership is one of several topics up for discussion, sources said. Board members are waiting for the agency to release details of the decision, but for now say they’re considering several options including filing a Petition for Reconsideration.
Several small-market broadcast group owners told RW Online they are confused by how the new rules apply to them and are awaiting word from the FCC on how it will define a radio market in cases where Arbitron has embedded metros and contiguous markets, such as the Baltimore-Washington area.
