The NAB Education Foundation, with support from the McCormick Foundation, sponsors the Connections Mentoring Initiative. This pairs fellows with broadcast professionals in a mentoring relationship. Applications are now open for the third year.
The nonresidential program lasts a year and involves training, webinars and personal career counseling.
Applications are limited to women and “people of color.” The focus is upon younger professionals looking for a career in broadcast management. Up to 50 slots are available.
NAB Education Foundation Marcellus Alexander said, “Having a veteran broadcaster on hand to provide advice on career advancement is an invaluable asset, particularly in today’s competitive environment. We are pleased that the expansion of our program will allow us to help an even larger group of talented professional achieve a successful career in broadcasting.”
