The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign that aims to create a “more diverse, innovative and vibrant workforce.”
According to an NAB press release, the “Future Leaders Fund” will support existing programs that are working to increase diversity within the broadcast industry as well as train the next generation of leaders. Examples of such programs include the Media Sales Academy, the Technology Apprenticeship Program, the Broadcast Leadership Training Program and the new Emerson Coleman Fellowship.
NAB Leadership Foundation President Michelle Duke said, “For 25 years, NABLF has been dedicated to strengthening our industry’s ranks by offering a steppingstone for broadcasters to succeed and thrive, from students and employees just starting in their careers to executives with aspirations of station ownership.”
NABLF board member Tamron Hall kicked off the campaign Nov. 17 with a video message encouraging broadcasters to donate this holiday season.
For those interested, tax-deductible donations can be on the NAB website.
