Details are emerging about the technical program of this fall’s NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia.
According to an NAB member publication, the show will feature a series of technical workshops designed especially for practicing radio broadcast engineers.” We realize that today a station engineer’s time for continuing education is very scarce,” it stated. “By attending the Radio Show, engineers will be able to receive a full menu of workshop sessions that will not only provide an update on critical radio matters but also will count toward re-certification by the Society of Broadcast Engineers.”
Content includes an AM/FM antenna certification workshop, a digital radio certification workshop and an AM/FM transmitter certification workshop.
Speakers include John Bisset, Ron Rackley, Ben Dawson, Tom Silliman, Bob Surette, Steve Church and several representatives of Ibiquity Digital.
NAB also is offering a 2-for-1-registration opportunity for NAB members. The association reminded engineers to ask if their managers are planning to attend.
