NAB Pilot to Conduct FM Chip Webinar Tomorrow

Brenner, Pizzi and others to look at the direction of FM chip activity

Tomorrow, 3–4 p.m. the NAB’s Pilot tech program will be conducting a webinar looking at FM activation in smartphones, “FM Chips in Smartphones: An Evolving Landscape.”

The gathering will examine “trends in FM chip activation by the carriers and manufacturers, hybrid radio, and important developments in the area of emergency alerting.”

It will be moderated by NAB Director of Technology Education & Outreach Brian Savoie. He will be joined by NextRadio President Paul Brenner, NAB Senior Director Advanced Engineering David Layer, Commonwealth Broadcasting Corp. President and CEO Steve Newberry and NAB Senior Director New Technologies Skip Pizzi.
