NAB has set out the details of its technical program for the coming fall NAB Radio Show.

NAB has set out the details of its technical program for the coming fall NAB Radio Show.

It will begin Sept. 26 and feature the Society of Broadcast Engineers Radio Engineering Program, a two-part RF safety course and AM/FM Transmitter Workshop and Breakfast.

The lineup has sessions examining HD Radio technology, VSWR measurements in broadcast systems and HD Radio measurements.

Safety Consultant and founder of RF Safety Solutions Richard Strickland, a Radio World contributor, is scheduled to instruct the NAB RF Safety Course on Sept. 27. He founded his company in 2001 after 10 years as director of business development for Narda Safety Test Solutions. He has taught some 150 seminars on RF safety and is the author of numerous articles.

John Bisset, northeast sales manager for Broadcast Electronics and also an RW contributor, is scheduled to lead the AM/FM Transmitter Workshop and Breakfast on Sept. 28, sponsored by BE.

The interactive class provides an in-depth look at transmitter troubleshooting with maintenance tips that can save stations from being pulled off the air.
