The National Association of Broadcasters has released preliminary figures for its spring show. The event has morphed from an over-the-air broadcaster-centric confab to one that includes exhibitors and attendees representing several different content delivery platforms.
Total registered attendance was 92,112, up from 91,923 last year, according to the association. Of the total attendees, 24,928 were international, representing more than 150 countries.
NAB reported an uptick in exhibitor participation and an almost 10 percent increase in size. The event comprised 1,600 exhibitors spanning 815,000 net square feet of exhibit space, up from 1,550 exhibitors occupying 745,000 net square feet in 2011.
Some 1,650 people registered as news media for the show.
International and news media attendance figures are included in the overall registration number. All numbers are based on preshow and onsite registration and subject to an ongoing audit.
